• I'm an artist and teacher creating original works of art in Evansville, WI.

My artwork focuses on the abstract interplay of line, shape and color.  The beauty is in the relationship of these elements and the emotional quality they evoke.  The artwork is created spontaneously with permanent marker on acid free paper.  Parts are then assembled together creating areas of relief.  Besides the original drawings, I also create Giclee prints. Please check out the photo gallery for samples of my work.    Enjoy!

     What is "Giclée" printing?

"Giclée" (pronounced Gee’ clay) is French meaning "to spray-on."  "Giclée printing" is a term being used in the fine arts industry to describe a high end, digital, ink-jet printing process that reproduces museum quality prints that, in some instances, are rated to last up to 200 years.  "Giclée" printers use specially formulated archival inks that produce exceptional color results on a wide variety of acid-free, fine art papers, canvas, and other materials.

     Why Woodland Giclees?

Woodland uses the best printers / inks available.
They produce museum quality prints on archival materials that will last for generations.  Their Epson 9600 printer prints sizes up to 44" wide by 10' feet long, on a wide variety of sheet or roll fed materials including acid-free art papers, canvas, vinyl, poster board and more.  It uses Epson's revolutionary 7 color, UltraChrome® ink system featuring the stability of pigmented inks with color gamuts that rival water based dyes.  Depending on inks / materials, fade resistant ratings generally range 80-200 years*.

Why are my editions so low?

Keeping editions small ensures the purchaser they are acquiring a work of art that is not mass-marketed. It can be treasured as a rare piece that only a few people will own. Small editions are also productive for artists, like me, who have no desire to churn out the same image hundreds of times.  This allows me to focus on new work.
